We have an opening to join one of the leading web and digital marketing agencies in New Zealand. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to bring their technical and communication skills to our team.
Most of our clients are growing Kiwi businesses looking to succeed online and through software or application development.
You’ll be responsible for managing projects from the beginning, helping to develop the brief, through the design and technical development, to completion and go-live.
Our team includes a number of great people that we employ directly overseas, so experience dealing with remote teams is useful. Our people are highly talented, including skilled designers, front-end developers, and back-end developers, along with the motivated project management and account management team.
This is a key role and ideally, we are looking for someone with previous knowledge and experience of various web technologies, along with prior project management experience.
The Project Management role covers development relating to:
- Website and web applications
- Software development
- Managing UX and solution design
- E-commerce
- Technical integrations
Key responsibilities:
- Keep projects moving forwards according to agreed timelines
- Management of technically complex projects
- Helping to develop project plans
- Run daily catch-ups with the local and remote teams
- Prepare functional specifications
- Controlling any scope creep
- Resource allocation and scheduling
- Liaise between different departments, translating requirements into clear tasks, assigning these tasks, and managing the projects’ deliverables against the timeline
- Offer input into problem-solving and lead best practices in digital production
- Help to drive development, implementation, testing, and revision of our processes for web/digital projects
Experience / qualifications:
- 1+ years’ experience in a Digital Project Manager role
- Prince2 or PMP qualified
- High-level knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, PHP, frameworks, APIs, JavaScript
- Familiarity with CMS systems
- Experience with project management tools such as Asana is very useful
- Great communication skills
- Agile and hybrid project management methodologies
- Able to break down big tasks into clearly defined, achievable steps
- Having a background in Dev Ops and Azure hosting will be great
